Douze points? Well maybe not in this case. Conan Osiris from Portugal has been voted as having the worst outfit at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest..

The 30-year-old singer-songwriter crashed out of the first semi-final in Tel Aviv, with his futuristic pop entry Telemoveis, performing in an avant-guard emerald green, satin outfit. An outfit Emerald City inhabitants would die for.

Around 4000 fans from the Eurovision Song contest community have been casting their votes via songfestival.be for the last week. The Belgian website announced the results earlier today. Participants from Cyprus, Belarus, Belgium and North Macedonia also made the top five.

The award for ‘worst dressed’ refers to the Belgian act Barbara Dex, who made the history books in 1993 for her self-made dress. The outfit became a hot topic, for rather unflattering reasons. Since 2016 Songfestival.be are organizing the annual vote, and have expanded the description of the award to ‘most talked about or unique outfit’, rather than focus on the most unflattering.

Do you agree with the outcome? Let us know! Check out Conan’s performance during the first semi-final in Tel Aviv below.
