The countdown for Eurovizijos Atranka 2019 has begun.
Lithuanian Broadcaster LRT has opened its submission period for Eurovizijos Atranka this morning. Artists and composers, have until December 10 to submit an entry, which may be selected to take part in the countries selection round for the Eurovision Song Contest.
Contrary to more recent years, Eurovizijos Atranka will consist of fewer shows, kicking off on January 5th. Once the submission window closes on December 10, a jury will check all submissions. The full list of artists and songs are expected to be announced on the broadcaster’s website, December 12. The final, in which the winner will be invited to represent Lithuania in Tel Aviv, Israel, will be taking place on February 23rd.

Last year, Ieva Zasimauskaitė finished 12th in the grand final with her emotional ballad When we’re old. It’s Lithuania’s 3rd best result since they first appeared at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994.
