She’s not your toy, but she is your Eurovision winner! Netta Barzilai has claimed victory for Israel at the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest.
Having spent the last months pre-contest as favorite, 25-year-old Netta, took every bit of doubt away she was unworthy of the Eurovision crown. With 529 points Netta, convinced both juries and the televoters at home, crowning her energetic performance of Toy as this year’s winning Eurovision entry.
The 64th Eurovision Song Contest is heading back to Israel, exactly two decades since Dana International won the competition in 1998 with Diva. The country has won the contest, four times in total.
Its broadcaster, KAN, is set to take on host responsibilities with more information provided in due course.
Congratulations to Israel & Netta!
